Leinster Rugby has teamed up with the Evening Herald and Powerade to run a journalist competition for school kids between the age of 15 and 17…

We are targeting Transition Year Students for this competition.

The competition is simple; write a match report on any one of the remaining Powerade Schools Cup games (Junior, Senior, Fr. Godfrey, Vinnie Murray) and submit the article to the following e-mail address, competitions@leinsterrugby.ie

All articles are to be a maximum of 500 words and submitted before the deadline of 25th March 2011.

The winner will get the opportunity to be a fully accredited Journalist at the Leinster v Ulster Magners League game in April, will get their article published in the Evening Herald Leinster Rugby Friday Supplement and will get a day’s work experience in the Evening Herald on the day their article is being printed.

The winning article will be chosen by an Evening Herald Editor. This will be great experience for any young aspiring Journalist.

The winning article will also receive a Powerade Rugby Training Equipment Pack for their school, which will include kit and training equipment (this prize can be tailored for both male and female sports teams).
