Description
The intern will gain practical experience in promoting the game of rugby football and improving playing/performance standards. Increase participation at all levels of the game and increase player base. Develop links with schools and clubs to promote rugby within their identified area and identify prospective rugby players.

Ensure that Rugby is run effectively and encourage best practice, by providing guidance. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following – rugby coaching, event organisation and management and report writing and presentation. On completion the intern will have attained skills in rugby coaching, presentation skills, event organisation and management.

Skills Requirements
Ability to gain the confidence, respect and trust of others. Integrity and honesty. Committed, enthusiastic and motivated. Willingness and desire to entertain new ideas and seize opportunities. Willingness to accept and encourage constructive challenges. Driving licence and own transport. A knowledge of local and regional Rugby Football structure.

Note: This is a nine month Internship. An allowance of €;50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment. Closing date for applications is the 1st of August. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview between Monday 5th- Friday 16th of August and will be expected to work 30 hours per week. If successful, the start date will be the 26th of August.
