This Bank Holiday Monday, December 28th, up to 1,000 people are expected to take part in ‘The Fat Turkey Walk’ around Howth Hill…
The sponsored walk is being organised by Suttonians R.F.C. to raise funds for the I.R.F.U. Charitable Trust for seriously injured players, as well as the development of rugby in local schools and in the community.
A large number of current and past players are encouraging as many people as possible to take part including Mick Galwey, Ollie Campbell, Mick Quinn, Ronnie Delaney and Ian Keatley.
The walk starts at the Suttonians clubhouse (across the road from Sutton DART station) at 11am.
There are two other starting points for people who want to join the walk along the way rather than doing the full thing – 12pm at the Summit Inn pub at the top of Howth Hill and 12:30pm at Findlaters pub beside Howth DART station. The walk will finish back at the SRFC clubhouse on Station Road, Sutton, from 1pm.
There will be a band in the club from 1-4pm, with hot whiskeys and food available for purchase.
It will be a great family day out, with exercise and fun for adults and children alike.
