The draw for this year’s Leinster Counties Cup sees last year’s winners Fingal at home against Louth. This will be a tough contest with Louth looking to topple the champions…

South Dublin, last year’s beaten finalists, have to travel to Offaly, where they are sure to get a tough game.

Other matches see Meath at home to Longford v Westmeath and the senior J2 clubs against Co. Kildare.

This has developed into very good competition and it is a pity that there are number of counties who are not entering teams. The committee look forward next year to seeing these counties entering and giving their players a chance to represent their respective counties.

Last year’s final took place before the Provincial Towns Cup final and proved to be an entertaining curtain raiser.

There will be previews over the next few weeks in your Evening Herald.
