Girvan Dempsey, Rory Best & Tommy Bowe to attend Guinness Area 22 Q&A Supporters Event ahead of Ireland v Fiji…

Guinness Area 22 will arrive in Ballsbridge ahead of the Guinness Series encounter between Ireland and Fiji on Saturday 21st November. As part of the lead up to the Ireland v Fiji game, and the creation of Guinness Area 22 in Ballsbridge, with 20 foot high rugby posts and giant inflatable rugby balls, Guinness will also host an exclusive rugby supporters Q&A event.

The Guinness Rugby Supporters Event will take place in a bespoke ‘black and white’ marquee at the Horseshow House bar in Ballsbridge on Saturday afternoon, 21st November.

Leinster’s Girvan Dempsey will be in attendance on the day with Tommy Bowe and Rory Best. The event is open to 250 lucky fans, and Guinness have given us 25 spots, which have been reserved especially for the Leinster Rugby Supporters Club.

The panel will look back at the 2009 rugby year, and discuss the Grand Slam Glory, as well as Ireland’s performance against Australia last Sunday. They will also look ahead to the Fiji game and the team selection for that particular Guinness Series fixture. Finally, the panel will examine the all-important game between Ireland and South Africa. This match has all the hallmarks of being classic rugby encounter, as Ireland, the current Northern Hemisphere champions prepare to take on the World and Southern Hemisphere champions, in what will also be the last Guinness Series game to be played in the majestic Croke Park.

Newstalk will also be present at Guinness Area 22 so anyone not able to attend can tune into Newstalk on the day to catch up on the goings-on in Ballsbridge and the panel discussions.

Speaking ahead of the Area 22 event, Barry Fitzpatrick, Guinness Brand Manager said, “2009 was a huge year for Irish Rugby, what with the Grand Slam win, Leinster’s success in the European Cup, and also the number of Irish players that travelled to South Africa as part of the British & Irish Lions touring squad. The Guinness Series games are always something to look forward to each year, and it’s great to see Ireland taking on the likes of Australia, Fiji and South Africa. The Guinness Area 22 supporters event will really add to the atmosphere ahead of Saturday’s game in the RDS, and it’s sure to be a must-attend gig, so I’d encourage all fans to register for a spot now.”

All supporters and guests planning on attending the events must be over 18, and Age ID will be required on the day
