Leinster Rugby Referees recently launched their new website. The site, www.arlb.ie, is designed in direct response to their referee’s requirements and also to help improve their recruitment drive…

The site includes an improved on-line experience and simplified navigation. Content on the site can be easily added to by members of the associations various committees through its improved content management interface.

“Providing referees with the information they need, quickly was one of our key aims with the site. Referees now have immediate access to competition regulations, red card forms and guidelines on filling these forms through our resources section and also a log in to their appointments”, said Fran Nolan, President Leinster Rugby Referees.

“Another key aim of the site was to enable anyone interested in refereeing to easily find out how they go about joining the association, what is involved, what the benefits are and how they can get to the top of the refereeing ladder. This information was all compiled with the assistance of David Keane our recruitment officer and our various area representatives.

“The final key aspect of the site was to enable us to highlight our sponsors Subaru and enable them to provide us with their own advertising on the site. The nature of the previous site meant that this process was tedious and time consuming.”

Over the coming months the referees hope to include highlights of the schools senior and junior cup games from Setanta on the site as well as profiles on their referees.

“We hope to keep improving the site over the coming months through member feedback and ideas. We have a rich vein of talent in the association that is not just on the pitch but also in business and I.T. to help us.”

The Leinster Rugby Referees would like to thank John Montayne of Montimedia and Dan Wallace for their hard work over the last few weeks in getting the site up and running.
