Last weekend saw the Leinster Rugby Department complete the first of its three level one coaching courses it is running over the summer months…
Thirty four coaches coaching at U16 and upwards in clubs and schools across the province came together in St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra to learn about key factor analysis, individual skills, general movement, mini units and units, principles of coaching which all part of coaching players at Stage three of the LTPD.
Tutors on the course were Leinster’s Coach Development officers and invited tutors who gave presentations that were both class and field based. The course is highly interactive with coaches sharing their experiences and knowledge to assist in creating a good learning environment for the coaches.
Some coaches on the course commented;
“Great course huge amount of learning, really enjoyed the whole experience”
