Leinster Rugby have been drawn to face La Rochelle in the Heineken Champions Cup semi-finals, with the tie to take place on the weekend of 30 April at Stade Marcel Deflandre.

Leo Cullen’s men secured their place in the last four with a 34-22 win over reigning champions Exeter at Sandy Park on Saturday evening.

La Rochelle’s European campaign began with a win away to Edinburgh in Round 1 before their Round 2 game versus Bath was cancelled.

The French side, who have former Leinster forwards coach Jono Gibbes as their director of rugby, went on to record impressive knockout wins over Gloucester (16-27) and Sale (45-21) to book their place in the semi-final draw.

The other last-four tie will see Toulouse host Bordeaux.
