Coach Development Officers, Derek Maybury and Colin O’Hare launched a brand new summer course for teachers last week in Oatlands College, Stillorgan.

Organised through Blackrock Education Centre & approved by the Department of Education and Skills, the aim of this summer course for primary school teachers was to introduce Tag Rugby to teachers’ PE classes as a means of helping in the development of appropriate movement skills across the PE strands.
Largely practical based, the course examined Fundamental Movement Skills, Fundamental Games Skills and Personal and Social Development methodologies through Tag Rugby.  The teachers particularly enjoyed the use of GoPro cameras to reflect on teaching practices and the feedback was extremely positive …
“Brilliantly dynamic, constantly active, constantly learning”
“Very professional, very enjoyable. The best course I’ve ever attended”
“Brilliant course. Perfect mix between theory and practice delivered in an interactive and fun way”
