The Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby School of Excellence will celebrate its 21st year this summer at The Kings Hospital.
The School of Excellence is one of the most successful rugby camps in Ireland, with the aim of developing players and helping them to fine-tune their rugby skills.
The content of the camp has developed with the game in recent years and as a result it has become the highlight of the summer for many players. The camp provides boys and girls aged 12-17 with a comprehensive rugby package, allowing them to experience a week in the life of a professional rugby player.
Players attending the School of Excellence can learn to play the Leinster Way as they gain a greater understanding of the game and learn about values such as teamwork, commitment, integrity, communication and building new friendships.
What sets the School of Excellence programme apart from any other rugby experience for boys and girls is the level of coaching on offer from professional rugby coaches and nutrition experts.
This year’s impressive line up of guests speakers was also announced recently: Leo Cullen (Leinster Rugby Head Coach), Stuart Lancaster (Leinster Rugby Senior Coach), John Fogarty (Leinster Rugby Scrum Coach) and Emmet Farrell (Lead Analyst & Kicking Coach).
The programme has grown year-on-year, and in 2017 over 1,000 players, both boys and girls, took part in the summer programme. With limited places available, book now at leinsterrugby.ie/soe to secure your residential or non-residential place.
