The Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby Camps were launched today with three members of the Leinster Rugby team hosting a pop up training session for the children of St. Mary’s School, Ranelagh.

These camps, which will take place in locations all across the province, offer kids the chance to learn to play the Leinster way in a fun and safe environment.

Jamie Heaslip, Jack McGrath and Hayden Triggs were on hand to put the children through their paces under the watchful eye of the Leinster Rugby coaching staff. The camps are open to boys and girls aged 6 to 12 and are run by fully accredited IRFU coaches.

With an extended 27 venues on offer throughout the province in July and August there is plenty of choice for budding young players. The first camps get underway in Wexford Wanderers, Donnybrook, Terenure College and Balbriggan on Monday, July 4th and run from 9:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday.

As well as learning new skills, meeting Leinster players, making new friends and having lots of fun, each child will receive a Canterbury of New Zealand pack including a training t-shirt, a thrillseeker rugby ball and Leinster draw string bag.  They will also get one free junior ticket to a selected Leinster game.

An early bird rate of €;75 is available for children who enrol before June 3rd. After this date, the cost of attending the camp will be €;90 per child. A second sibling can book a place on a camp for the reduced rate of €;80. You can book a second camp for your child for just €;60 (no kit included).

Elma Beirne, Domestic Marketing Executive at Leinster Rugby added, “We’re thrilled to have Bank of Ireland on board as the title sponsor of our Leinster Rugby Camps. With the camps now a regular sell out we have added 5 new venues bringing the total to 27 this year.”

“With each child receiving a Canterbury of New Zealand t-shirt, thrillseeker rugby ball, Leinster draw string bag, free ticket to a Leinster home game and getting to meet their Leinster hero’s the camps offer great value for money. We’re already looking forward to welcoming boys and girls to our 27 venues across the province for an action packed week of rugby.”
