The Leinster Schools (Under-18) team, sponsored by Nivea for Men, defeated their Ulster counterparts 22-15 in Wednesday afternoon’s interprovincial in Ravenhill…
Ulster got off to a good start kicking two penalties in the first ten minutes.
Leinster then hit back with tries from Ian Fitzpatrick and Dan Leavy to lead 10-6 at half time.
The hosts kicked a penalty before Leinster scored another try through Rory O’Loughlin. Another penalty by Ulster reduced the deficit before a try by Cameron Higgs, which was converted by Stephen O’Neill, looked to have made the game safe.
But another penalty for Ulster made for an anxious last few minutes before the final whistle sounded to give Leinster their second victory of the Interpro’ series.
