The Leinster squad completed their first on-field training session of the week in UCD on Monday afternoon as they prepare for the visit of the Scarlets in Saturday night’s RaboDirect PRO12 clash in the RDS (KO: 7.45pm)…
There are no major injury concerns for the management arising from Saturday’s bonus point victory over Benetton Treviso with Andrew Goodman, who was substituted as a precaution after sustaining a bang to the eye late on in the win, set to take a full part in training.
Academy second row Ben Marshall (knee) is also expected to be in the frame after featuring in the last two fixtures.
Kevin McLaughlin (knee) is a doubt, while Isa Nacewa will continue to be monitored as he recovers from the recurrence of an arm injury which has restricted him recently. Centre Brendan Macken should also come back into the mix after missing out last weekend with a minor hamstring niggle.
Shane Jennings missed Saturday’s game after failing to fully recover from a shoulder knock but the Ireland flanker is expected to resume full training and be available for selection.
Dominic Ryan’s hat-trick of tries capped a fine weekend for Leinster’s home-grown back-rowers with Jordi Murphy impressing on his 13th outing of the campaign and Rhys Ruddock led the team impressively on his 50th appearance for the province.
The team will be named at midday on Friday.
Tickets sales for Saturday’s game have passed the 14,700 mark and there are tickets available ONLINE HERE, the Leinster Rugby Store (Donnybrook), Spar (Donnybrook) as well as Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
