With the new season just around the corner, and Leinster’s final pre-season friendly taking place against Ulster this Saturday, the Leinster Rugby supplement returns to the Irish Independent this Friday and the new edition is packed full of great exclusives.
On the front page of the supplement you can read an interview with Leinster’s newly appointed captain, Jamie Heaslip, as he looks ahead to the new season and discusses taking over the role of captain from Leo Cullen.
There’s also a feature interview with Luke McGrath, with the young scrum-half reflecting on the friendly defeat against Northampton Saints and the valuable experience gained from facing a full-strength Saints side for a young Leinster team.
The first Player Diary of the new season comes from Shane Jennings. He gives an insight into the accuracy of Jack McGrath on a rifle range, his summer break to the United States and the pre-season regime at Leinster.
