Ashbourne RFC under 17’s were delighted to have the opportunity to be coached by some of Leinster’s finest when Fergus McFadden, Leo Cullen and Luke Fitzgerald came out to do a coaching session…
Robert Grimes from the EBS in Ashbourne organised the visit as part of a prize won through the Paul Stafford Foundation (in aid of suicide awareness) and the squad were all ready when the Leinster players arrived.
What struck everybody was the friendliness and enthusiasm of the trio who put the under 17’s through their paces, showing them techniques and drills that they themselves would be put through at training. A large number of parents were on hand to witness the training session and Leinster players passed on a lot of good advice.
The longest part of the session was at the end where there were many pictures and autographs signed and they left with a great thank you from all at Ashbourne RFC.
