The Leinster Women’s Interprovincial Squad will take on the Exiles in a friendly in Ashbourne RFC on Friday 22nd November, with kick off at 8pm. This is a match not to be missed…

This is the second match the Leinster Squad has played, in the lead up to their Interprovincial Series.

Leinster played a strong Connacht side boasting five Buccaneers, in on Wednesday 13th November at Dubarry Park, Athlone. It was a tough game, but with a commendable win to Connacht, defeating Leinser 12-0. The Ladies in Blue will be keen to put the lessons learnt and training into practice, against the Exiles this Friday.

Here’s what our Leinster Women’s Captain, Marie Louise Reilly (Old Belvedere RFC), had to say about the upcoming fixture.

‘The upcoming game against the Exiles on Friday night in Ashbourne will be a tough outing for the Leinster side. The Exiles have a number of experienced players who will provide many threats, this coupled with an eagerness of the entire team to impress Irish management, will no doubt result in a keenly contested battle. However, I know that the Leinster side will equally want to impress & put on a display which highlights the quality within the team. We’ve worked hard in training with our new management team & I’m sure that we will represent our clubs & the province with distinction once we work hard for each other & concentrate on getting the basics right. It’s all set up to be a great game under lights on Friday night’.
