As we in Leinster Rugby continue to work with the IRFU, the other three provinces and indeed both tournament organisers, I would like to address Leinster supporters at a time of huge worry and stress for us all in society.

While we appreciate the concerns expressed over the last week or so by supporters in particular with regard to the ending of the domestic rugby calendar and the impasse over the professional season, we would like to reiterate that the health of our supporters, of our volunteers, of our coaches, of our referees, of our players and of our administrators and staff will continue to be our number one priority.

With the professional season suspended, it is still our advice that supporters should retain their Guinness PRO14 and Heineken Champions Cup tickets. If that situation changes, we will have regular updates for supporters about what steps to take next.

We in head office in UCD will continue to be at your disposal remotely should you have any queries and please use the email as the best avenue for communication.

Please note our office will however be closed from Monday, 23rd March until further notice.

Again, we are working very hard with all our stakeholders to look at ways of bringing rugby back again both professionally during the summer months and, hopefully, for the start of a new domestic rugby season for 2020/21.

Until then, please continue to follow the HSE for your Covid-19 guidelines and look out for those most vulnerable in our communities.

We can all play our part.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Dawson
CEO, Leinster Rugby
