Leinster Rugby have confirmed this morning an extension to its existing relationship with Life Style Sports which sees the Irish retailer continue as the Official Retail Partners to the Heineken Champions Cup and Guinness PRO14 champions.
Life Style Sports have been the Official Retail Partner of Leinster Rugby since 2013 and this new deal will extend that partnership for a further five years.
In addition Leinster Rugby confirmed that it will enter into an exclusive retailer agreement with the proudly Irish owned sports retailer from the start of the 2018/19 season.
This agreement means that Life Style Sports has acquired the global rights to retail licensed Leinster match and training apparel and accessories from the 2018/2019 season.
The announcement this morning follows the news last month that adidas had become the official kit supplier to the team from the 2018/19 season and similarly for a five-year term.
Mick Dawson, the CEO of Leinster Rugby commented, “We have had an extremely positive relationship with Life Style Sports for the last few seasons and I am delighted to see that relationship continue and indeed to see that relationship thrive.
“It is important for us to develop relationships like this in particular with a brand that supports so many in the province and that provides our supporters with great retail options.
“Life Style Sports are an Irish company with a presence in each of the 12 counties and are a very important employer in the sports retail sector in Ireland.
“Together with their fantastic online presence and indeed their units in the RDS Arena, we feel that they provide the best options for our supporters to purchase their new adidas Leinster Rugby kit and we very much look forward to the next few seasons and seeing how we can develop this relationship further.”
This exciting new partnership will see Leinster Rugby adopting a retail model that is being employed by leading sports clubs globally and will assist with the ongoing investment in the professional and domestic game across the province.
Life Style Sports, with 24 stores across the entire province of Leinster, has the largest retail network in Leinster including stores in each of the 12 counties.
With its award winning online offering, Life Style Sports also offers next day delivery if ordered before 7pm across Ireland and also delivers to over 150 countries globally meaning that the Leinster diaspora and fan base across the world can wear the new Leinster adidas range with pride.
In addition this summer Life Style Sports have commissioned a new purpose built pop up retail unit which follows the innovative and successful Boxpark theme previously seen in Shoreditch and Croydon, and across the US, which will be unveiled at the RDS in time for the new season.
Mark Stafford, CEO Life Style Sports, said: “Life Style Sports is a young, ambitious and innovative brand that operates at the cutting edge of sports retail. At our very core is the fact that we are proudly Irish owned, our HQ is Dublin based and are extremely proud and excited to be partnering with such a great Irish sporting success story as Leinster Rugby.
“This new partnership, coupled with the recent deal that Leinster Rugby have done with adidas, means that we will all be working to bring what are amazing new Home, Alternate and European jerseys and ranges to the very best retail environments.
