Leinster mascot ‘Leo the Lion’ is set to take on London Irish mascot ‘Digger’ in a sprint race today at 12.30pm in St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin ahead of Friday’s pre-season friendly…
The two mascots will be representing their clubs and pride will be on the line as each looks to strike the first blow for their respective club ahead of what will be a busy season of clashes.
The race is due to take place at 12.30pm today, Thursday, 27th August, on the East (Baggot / Leeson Street) side of the Park next to the playground.
Rumour has it Leo has been getting endurance tips from the visiting Lance Armstrong, power tips from Muhammad Ali and speed tips from Usain Bolt ahead of the big race!
All are welcome to come along and support Leo the Lion in his efforts to open the season on the right note….
