For the 20th year in a row, the Transition Year pupils of Blackrock College have organised the distribution and sale of the famous shamrock-shaped badges to newsagents up and down Ireland.
The badges cost just €;2 each, with all the proceeds going towards GOAL and Aidlink’s projects in the Developing World.
Since the first badge campaign in 1989 the Shamrock badges have raised over €;2 million, which has brought much-needed relief to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
