Malahide RFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Ray Monaghan as 1st team coach.
Ray Monaghan, who most recently was Old Belvedere’s 1st team backs coach, joins the club with a tremendous amount of senior rugby experience behind him.
Ray joins Malahide as Old Belvedere’s most capped player in the AIL, mainly featuring as a centre or out-half, with 16 seasons under his belt in the competition. Ray also represented and captained both the Leinster Counties side and Ireland ‘A’ team. In addition to this, he has also featured in a State of Origin in Rugby League.
Club President Alun Brophy has welcomed the appointment of Ray Monaghan to the club:
“We are delighted to welcome a man of Mono’s pedigree to the club. His experience, enthusiasm and drive to win will make a massive difference to the 1st team and the club as a whole as we push for promotion from Leinster 1B.”
Training begins this Thursday at 7:30pm. New players welcome.
