The next open Leinster Rugby session will take place this Wednesday afternoon, August 12th at 3pm in Malahide RFC…

European Champions Leinster arrived in Wicklow RFC last week to be greeted by a huge crowd in excess of 3,000.

The squad trained for just under an hour in perfect weather conditions while the returning squad members who were involved with the Lions mingled with the crowd and signed autographs.

Supporters got the chance to see and hold the Heineken Cup, while the team continued working hard in preparation for the upcoming season.

After the session ended, the entire squad signed for the enthusiastic crowd for over 90 minutes before a formal presentation was made by Wicklow RFC to Leinster captain Leo Cullen who hails from nearby Newtownmountkennedy.

The next open session will take place this Wednesday afternoon, August 12th at 3pm in Malahide RFC.

This training session is open to the public and will give supporters the chance to again see the squad’s preparations for the new season at close quarters.

Players will be available for autographs and photographs afterwards.
