Two competitions will be run on May 17th, one for social teams (Irish J3 standard) and one for Veterans (over 35s)…
St Mary’s College RFC are hosting a rugby 10’s tournament in Templeville Road on 17th May and we would like to invite all clubs from Ireland and abroad to participate in the competition.
The format is simple, teams will be split into groups with the top two from each one progressing to the cup competition and next two entering the plate competition. The tournament will kick off with a welcome event on Friday 16th May in the clubhouse at 19:30 and the tournament will commence the following day at 11:00. On the Saturday you will be guaranteed at least 4 matches and who knows maybe even carry home the trophy and winners cheque for €;1,500!!
We will be having a celebration party after the tournament in the clubhouse with a meal, live music and some fun games leading into the small hours. We have then arranged with a top Dublin nightclub for free entry and a local cab company have agreed a cheap price on travel to and from the club. We have an accommodation deal with a hotel in Dublin and we can send on details of this to any club interested in travelling to Dublin for the tournament. All of this is included in the entry fee of €;500 per team, which works out at less than €;50 per man for a squad of 12 or 13 players.
