Leinster Rugby cut the gap at the top of Guinness PRO14 Conference A to five points – with two games in hand – with a bonus-point win over Ulster Rugby on Friday evening.

A Dave Kearney try and three John Cooney penalties for Ulster were the only scores of the opening half.

But following the resumption, Leinster struck through Seán Cronin, before Robbie Henshaw and James Tracy added further tries to secure the bonus-point.

A strong defensive stand at the end of the game from Leo Cullen’s men also denied Ulster a losing bonus point.
