Maynooth Post Primary defeated a gallant Naas CBS team in Cill Dara RFC on Tuesday to record their first ever Duff Cup success.

In brisk conditions, Maynooth got off to a scorching start with winger Cian Farrell scoring in the corner after just eight minutes. Thomas Jones duly converted with an impressive attempt from the corner.

With Conor Clancy, Basil Jacob and Conor Duff dominant up front, Maynooth had a solid platform from which to build a greater lead. They soon pulled further ahead with an outstanding try by Seamus Milner leaving the score at 12-0 as they entered the break.

Second half tries by captain Paul Damery, second row Donnacha Mescal and another from Milner sealed the tie with a final score of 27-0.
