The kick off day and time has been confirmed for our away fixture in Montpellier, we’ll be heading to France again for the round 6 of the competition with a kick off on Saturday 20th January, 2.00pm (local time).
The Official Leinster Supporters Club (OLSC) has produced the below travel information for those thinking of going to the game. Unfortunately direct options are very limited as the usual seasonal flights from Dublin do not operate in January.
Direct from Dublin
The only way to fly direct from Dublin is with JWT, official travel partner to Leinster Rugby on their charter. You’ll depart Dublin on Friday afternoon and return after the game on Saturday night. The package includes direct flights, one checked bag, breakfast, overnight central accommodation and transfers.
For more information and to book see here
Non direct scheduled flight options
Carcassonne
Ryanair from Dublin to Carcassonne – flights only operate Friday and Sunday (then train/car to Montpellier 172kms).
Flights via Paris CDG and the UK
Aer Lingus to Paris CDG, then take the TGV from the airport station (train journey time 4 hours).
Aer Lingus to Lyon then take a train from the airport (journey time 3 hours).
Air France from Dublin to Montpellier (via Paris CDG).
Aer Lingus/Ryanair to London Gatwick then Easyjet to Montpellier.
While this list is not exhaustive, it is what we believe to be the best options for those not wanting to travel on the charter. If you have no time constraints there may be other options, please feel free to share these with other supporters by emailing olsc@leinsterrugby.ie
French trains
Similar to in Ireland if you need to book a train ticket, do it as soon as possible to avail of the cheapest fares. You can normally print the tickets at self-service machines located in the station (remember to bring the booking reference number and debit/credit card that you used for payment).

Accommodation
Montpellier has a plentiful supply of accommodation, the IBIS Montpellier Centre Comedie is budget style but well located, for other options across a range of styles and price brands see here
Match tickets
Under EPRC tournament rules, our away allocation had to be returned before the fixture date was confirmed. You can currently purchase match tickets directly from the opposition here. To ensure that the blue is together we recommend buying in ‘Pesages’ Zone 1.
