Naul National School in Fingal, North Co Dublin, have spent a number of months taking part in the IRFU ‘Play Rugby’ programme…

Since the beginning of the school year, all students from Junior Infants to Sixth Class have been learning new rugby skills and fun games to keep them fit and active.

More recently, the older classes have also been participating in Tag rugby sessions and competing against each other. The teachers at Naul National school have also been taking part in the programmes and will contine to teach Tag rugby and improve upon their new skills.

Principal Joan Guildea said: “The children and staff are thoroughly enjoying taking part and learning a new sport. We hope to have some pupils taking part in a local blitz in the coming months.”
