The OLSC’s Table Quiz was a resounding success raising over 1,500 Euro for the IRFU’s Injured Player Fund as supporters enjoyed an entertaining night at the hands of Shane Byrne…
The former Leinster player was in fine form and had participants in stitches throughout the night.
There was a fantastic turnout for the event with more than 20 teams taking part. The eventual winners were ‘Three Southsiders and a Token’, otherwise known as Neil O’Connor, Ger Casey, Ger Casey Snr and Lesa Tran. They each won six bottles of wine, a year’s subscription to the Irish Rugby Supporters Club along with an IRFU hoodie and polo and a personalised Leinster rugby ball signed by Shane.
Second placed team ‘The Thora Hird All Stars’, Arlene Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, Stuart Findlay and Peter Began won three bottles of wine, an OLSC goodie bag and two CDs each.
Third placed ‘Swirvin Girvans’ each won two bottles of wine and 2 CDs.
