The countdown is on for the Bank of Ireland Leinster School of Excellence with the ever popular rugby programme having sold 400 places to date…

The Early Bird offer of €;275 for non-residential and €;375 for a residential camp will be ending in just one week, on the 27th of March for both boys and girls camps.

The programme has been a great success, providing quality coaching and rugby experience for the next generation of Leinster Rugby stars from our clubs and schools. However, our base at The Kings Hospital School is attractive to those outside the province too with players attending from across the globe including places like Singapore, Hong Kong and all over Europe.

The programme includes the usual professional coaching delivered by experienced coaches from high level backgrounds, our off pitch recovery swimming pool sessions and nutritional presentations.

New to our 2015 Bank of Ireland Leinster School of Excellence, we have added sports psychology for the young player, team building exercises to integrate the players and weekly guest speakers.

Each speaker will outline their own background and rugby experience, current role and their responsibilities as:

Girvan Dempsey
Current Leinster Academy Manager

Richie Murphy
Current Ireland and Leinster Skills and Kicking Coach

Wayne Mitchell
Leinster Rugby Elite Player Development Officer

Declan O Brien
Current Assistant Ireland Women’s Coach

SOE manager Tom McKeown commented;

“It promises to a brilliant SOE 2015 and our coaches eagerly anticipating it and planning is in full swing. The new additions to the programme will ensure our players experience top level rugby coaching, professional recovery, improve the mental side of their game and most importantly have fun in a safe environment. I can’t wait now as the numbers are already really high and we also hope week 4 when our girls are attending is a real success story to build on last year’s inaugural girls SOE. I’m particularly looking forward to the addition of our guest speakers and listening to their vast level of experiences and this will give a real insight to these budding young stars to the top level game and the pathways of how they can get there.”
