Leinster Branch referee Helen O’Reilly has been appointed to referee the Women’s World Cup semi-final between France and Canada.
O’Reilly has already refereed in the first two rounds of the tournament (France v Wales and Canada v Samoa).
Her superb refereeing form has been rewarded with an appointment to referee France v Canada on Wednesday after the Ireland Women take on England in the first semi-final. Kick-off is 19.45 Irish Time and the game will be live on Sky Sports.
This is a richly deserved appointment and a credit to the hard work that she has put in during the year. We all wish her well.
The Ireland Women‘s team will kick-off against England on Wednesday at 5pm. The match will be broadcast live on TG4 and Sky Sports.
