Six sweetly-struck penalties from Ian Madigan were enough to guide Leinster to an 18-15 win over Bath in the European Rugby Champions Quarter-Final at AVIVA Stadium.
Leinster took a 15-5 lead into the break – George Ford crossing for a try to register Bath’s only score of the first half.
Ford was central to Bath’s second try of the game. The England out-half broke through the Leinster line and offloaded the ball to Bath captain Stuart Hooper, who crashed over for the try.
In the final minutes, with the score at 18-15, the Leinster defence stood strong to see out the game and set up a semi-final with the winner of today’s quarter-final between Toulon and Wasps.
