Leinster made a winning start to the season at the RDS Arena on Friday night, defeating Benetton Treviso 20-8.

Joey Carbery scored two tries in the first half on his home debut, with James Tracy going over for Leinster’s third in the second half.

There were also debuts for Academy players Rory O’Loughlin and Andrew Porter, as well as Kiwi scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park who came on as a second half substitute for Luke McGrath.

Leinster travel to face Glasgow Warriors this Saturday at Scotstoun (KO 3pm). The Scottish side put in an impressive performance in their opening weekend win away to Connacht, keeping the Guinness PRO12 champions scoreless in the second half on their way to a 5-41 victory.

Leinster return to the RDS Arena on 23rd September to face Ospreys and then two weeks’ later face Munster in Aviva Stadium on 8th October. Purchase tickets to a Leinster Rugby game.
