Last weekend’s friendly match against Northampton Saints may have ended in defeat for Leinster, but there were plenty of positives to take away from a performance that saw Academy players Cian Kelleher, Dan Leavy and Cathal Marsh all get their names on the score sheet. There was also a try for Clontarf RFC’s Mick McGrath.
Leinster fought back from a 26-0 deficit to come within five points of the Saints, but a George North try close to the end dashed any hopes of a stunning comeback victory against a full-strength Northampton side. Read the match report.
