Presentation College, Bray, are seeking applicants for the following roles for their Schools Cup teams:
SCT Assistant Coach – Forwards and Defence
JCT Assistant Coach – Forwards and Defence
About the roles
The successful candidates:
- should be able to implement the school’s rugby philosophy and be in a position to help develop and share this philosophy with the young coaches assisting with all teams
- will attend all training sessions (Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays) and matches (Wednesday afternoons)
- should have strong appropriate communication skills with school children and an ability to work with large numbers
- will have an ability to coach an effective lineout and scrum
Experience:
- While some experience of working with school children is desired it is not essential
- Appropriate coaching awards are essential
- A strong understanding of the Leinster Schools rugby environment is required
The role will suit an ambitious coach looking to work in a progressive school environment with scope to grow as a coach with progression to head coach positions expected.
