Round 4 of the Shane Horgan Cup takes place in Ashbourne RFC today (14th February) as the U16 squads from the five areas of Leinster continue their campaigns to win the coveted Shane Horgan Cup.
There will be two games played at Ashbourne RFC, with the first between the South-East Area and the North-East Area at 11.30am, and the second game between the North Midlands Area and the Midlands Area at 1pm.
At 11.30am the home side, North-East Area, will take on the undefeated South-East Area team. The North-East Area are fresh off their victory against the Metro Area in the last round and will look to better their table position by registering a victory. The South-East Area will be aiming to keep their winning record intact.
The Midlands Area team are sitting on top of the table at present and, having been on a bye for the last round in early January, will be eager to continue their winning run when they meet the team from the North Midlands.
Local rivalries always bring out the keenest competition and with the North Midlands Area looking to register their first win in the competition this game promises to be a competitive one.
