The Bank of Ireland Leinster U15 School/Youth Finals day will take place in Donnybrook this Saturday, April 23rd. There will be six teams competing in three finals.
The day kicks-off at 11am with the Bank of Ireland U15 Premier League Final when Coolmine A take on Wanderers. Wanderers will bring a big game as they look to build on their U13 and U14 success and add U15 to the tally, Coolmine, table toppers, will be well aware and fully prepared for the task.
At 12.30pm in the Bank of Ireland U15 Division 1 Final Lansdowne will face Terenure. Tom Donoghue, coach with Terenure is delighted to make the final “we started the season wondering if we would have a team, as youth numbers tend to drop off at this age grade. Thankfully a number of our U14’s stepped forward to fill the gap, forming a combined U14 and U15 squad. The lads had a tough start to the season, but have amalgamated into a competitive team. We have had a number of enthralling matches, and all have thoroughly enjoyed the season. We are looking forward to the final and the promising spectacle of more great rugby.”
The last game of the day will be the Bank of Ireland U15 Plate Final and Greystones will take on St. Mary’s College. Both teams have put up strong performances in reaching this game. St Mary’s saw off Ratoath, and Terenure, whilst Greystones played Portarlington and DLSP to reach the final. It will be a massive game for both teams and will make for cracking viewing.
Entrance to Donnybrook is €;5 and we wish the best of luck to all players and supporters on the day.
