Rathdrum Ladies rugby team travelled to Seapoint Rugby Club earlier this month to compete in a Sevens blitz. It was their first time to play Sevens and their first rugby venture of the new rugby season…

The Drumettes played several games to get to the final against Kilkenny which they won 17-10 in a tough and fast game. Well done to player of the day Jess Rowden who was outstanding throughout and the girls were delighted with this win and it has set a high standard for the coming season.
A cheque for €;500 euro was presented to a very worthy cause – Rathdrum Cancer Support group.
