250 pupils participated in the course throughout the school year…
During the week the pupils of Rathfarnham Parish National School were presented with their certificates for completing the Rugby course under the tutelage of Terenure CCRO, John English.
From junior infants to 6th class, over 250 children have participated with each class showing great enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Throughout the year we switched from the school gym to the outside yard when weather permitted. We worked on numerous skills with games incorporated to provide maximum enjoyment. All sessions were conducted in a very enjoyable environment. The children were a joy to coach with not one cross word heard throughout the year.
Hopefully the kids will continue on with rugby in the future. Terenure RFC would be delighted to welcome such a mannerly and talented bunch. Many thanks to Joyce, Siobhan and all the staff of Rathfarnham Parish. It was an extremely enjoyable course which hopefully will produce a few Leinster stars of the future.
