A part – time Head Coach for men’s rugby is required from September 2011 by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to work with the Sports coordinator. They would need to be available for two training sessions a week as well as matches. The Royal college of Surgeons in Ireland seeks to be at the forefront of sporting achievement. Through its sports facilities in Dardistown the team compete in the Leinster J3 league. The College is offering a unique opportunity for a head coach who is passionate about rugby and committed to continuing our drive for excellence by working closely with the sports co-ordinator.

Post: 1st XV Rugby Coach (Part Time)
Location: Dardistown, Old Airport Road, Dublin
Hours: A minimum of 4 hours per week (Oct to March)
Normally; 1 or 2 Evenings & Possibly Wednesday Afternoons
Remuneration: €;1,500 (to include all expenses)
Starting Date: 28th September Approx
Contract: Service Level Agreement
Qualifications: Minimum level 2
Responsible to: Sports Co-ordinator
Job Purpose: To deliver Rugby coaching to our JC3 Men’s team

  • To attend Matches home and away including a trip to Paris

  • To ensure our players are appropriately prepared
  • To encourage player progression
  • To provide a brief monthly report to the sports co-ordinator
  • To ensure all sessions comply with health and safety
  • To maintain regular communication with the student captains and assist with the club
