The Ireland coaching group have named the matchday squad that will take on Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in the penultimate round of the NatWest 6 Nations Championship.
After making his return from injury in Leinster Rugby’s 64-7 victory over the Southern Kings in the Guinness PRO14 two weeks ago, Garry Ringrose has been named to start at outside-centre against Scotland on Saturday.
He is one of eight Leinster men named in the starting XV, with a further six selected on the bench.
Rory Best captains the side and is partnered in the front row by Cian Healy and Tadhg Furlong.
Devin Toner and James Ryan again form the second-row partnership with Peter O’Mahony, Dan Leavy and CJ Stander retained in the back row.
Conor Murray and Johnny Sexton are the half-backs with Ringrose coming into partner Bundee Aki in the midfield. Keith Earls and Jacob Stockdale fill the wing positions with Rob Kearney at fullback.
Jordan Larmour could make his second senior international appearance from the bench on Saturday. His fellow St Andrew’s College man Andrew Porter has also been named among the replacements.
Porter is one of three Leinster front row replacements for Ireland with Jack McGrath and Sean Cronin also selected, with Jordi Murphy and Joey Carbery also named on the bench.
