For the 27th year in a row, De La Salle Palmerston attended Europe’s largest one day mini/youths festival, “The London Irish 4 Nations event” at Sunbury…

In all,108 parents and children proudly departed from Kirwan Park on their annual three day tour.

Thanks to sterling work by a committee including: Peter McKeown, Graham Cook, Graham Smyth, Alan Hayden and the Under-11 and Under-12 coaches, the tour was a huge success.

Salmo had three teams partaking in the event (which had approx 2,000 participants). The flag was proudly flown by the Leinster club, in all their matches, with the Under-11’s winning the Shield competition.

The attached photos show the team celebrating after being presented with the trophy and also when they met England International and London Irish Player Steffon Armitage who congratuled them on their fine win over Chipstead in the final. Thanks again to our hosts at London Irish, the coaches of all the teams and our players.

Roll on next year…
