The early bird offer for the Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby School of Excellence in the King’s Hospital ends in 10 days, with over 700 places sold already.

Leinster Rugby offers both residential (players arrive Sunday evening before camp) and non-residential packages for this quality rugby experience. Whether you choose a residential or a non-residential camp, you will live, breathe, eat and sleep rugby for the week like Leinster Rugby professional players. Coaches at the camp include current professional coaches from Leinster Rugby, universities and Energia All-Ireland League clubs.

Camp goers can learn to play the Leinster Way as they will gain a greater understanding of the game and learn about values such as teamwork, commitment, integrity and communication. In particular, players will develop core rugby skills and learn to perform them under challenging conditions through high-class coaching in a professional environment.

The content of this year’s camp has been modified to include information from every facet of the modern professional rugby player’s life, including the following;

  • Top class coaching from professional coaches
  • A weekly guest speaker from Leinster Rugby
  • Live and train like a professional player
  • Flexibility work and swimming pool recovery daily
  • Daily video analysis
  • All meals provided are approved by Leinster Rugby

Leinster Rugby’s Rob Kearney said “I’ve really fond memories of the camp, the best thing about it was the first introduction to anything associated with the province of Leinster and you get to meet all of these other guys who you may have played against but might not necessarily have known so you are building a relationship and it connects you with them pretty early on.”

Kearney added, “I met Johnny Sexton here on my very first camp at 14 or 15 years of age and we have become good friends since then, so it’s a great way to introduce people into a potential rugby pathway.”

Leinster Womens player Judy Bobbett, who also took part in the Leinster School of Excellence added, “I had a great few days here, learning the fundamental skills, the basics of rugby and I was able to transition that back into the club game. the coaching we received was excellent, they know what they are doing with plenty of experience and I’ve brought on the skills I learned onto the senior squad.”
