Coaches from nine different clubs arrived to brave the conditions for a scrum clinic delivered by Reggie Corrigan…

Organised by Niall Neville (CRO, South Dublin) the clinic was aimed at coaches who were making the transition from Mini to Youth age grades.

The focus of the clinic was on correct technique and how to set a square and safe scrum with players getting used to the eight-man scrum for the first time.

Although the weather forced everyone inside it didn’t dampen spirits and with players provided by St. Mary’s Under-15’s practical demonstrations were the key to understanding. Coaches were free to get involved and questions were welcomed providing some excellent talking points.
