Leinster Rugby are delighted to welcome speaker Dr. Jean Côté to Ireland and would highly encourage all parents, coaches and teachers to avail of this seminar ‘Redefining Success in Coaching’.
The seminar takes place on Monday, 23 March at 7.30pm in Kings Hospital School.
Dr. Jean Côté is Professor and Director in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen’s University at Kingston (Canada). He has published more than 130 refereed papers and delivered 50 keynote addresses at major national and international conferences in the areas of children in sport, coaching, positive youth development, and sport expertise.
The seminar will examine a dynamic and comprehensive approach to short and long-term Athlete Development.
This includes:
- Research and case studies into the elements that affect athlete development
- Identification of evidence-based principles for the optimal development of athletes
- The role of parents, coaches & the club/school in developing better people (not just better players)
- How to keep children interested in rugby and develop personal assets.
