The Early Bird offer for the Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby School of Excellence in the King’s Hospital ends this Friday, with places filling up fast.
Leinster Rugby offers both residential (players arrive Sunday evening before camp) and non-residential packages for this quality rugby experience. Whether you choose a residential or a non-residential camp, you will live, breathe, eat and sleep rugby for the week like the Leinster Rugby professional players. Coaches at the camp include current professional coaches from Leinster Rugby, Universities and All Ireland League clubs.
Camp goers can learn to play the Leinster Way as they will gain a greater understanding of the game and learn about values such as teamwork, commitment, integrity and communication.
In particular, players will develop core rugby skills and learn to perform them under challenging conditions through high-class coaching in a professional environment.
Positional clinics are run during the week with guest coaches and Leinster Rugby Academy players who provide an insight into the specific requirements needed for each area.
The content of this year’s camp has been modified to include information from every facet of the modern professional rugby player’s life, including the following;
- Top class coaching from professional coaches
- A weekly guest speaker from the professional game
- Live and train like a professional player
- A weekly visit from two Leinster Rugby Academy players
- Flexibility work and swimming pool recovery daily
- Daily video analysis
- All meals provided are approved by Leinster Rugby
Leinster Rugby and Ireland tighthead prop, Tadhg Furlong, fresh off his Man of the Match performance for Ireland in Twickenham said, “I attended the Leinster School of Excellence a few years ago and can’t speak highly enough of them. Getting that exposure to elite coaching at a young age, you pick up bits and pieces that you can then bring back to your school or club to help your own game.
“Outside of that it was great craic and being able to make friends with players from other clubs and schools and getting to know them was an education in its own way. I’d highly recommend the Leinster SOE to anyone looking to develop their game and to have a great fun week while learning from the best of Leinster Rugby coaches.”
