Head coach Leo Cullen has issued a squad update ahead of the province’s opening game of 2021, against Connacht on Saturday (KO 7.35pm).

Ahead of the clash at the RDS Arena, Leinster Rugby have confirmed that two Senior players have tested positive for Covid-19.

In injury news, full-back Jimmy O’Brien has completed the Graduated Return to Play Protocols and is available for selection this weekend after picking up a knock against Northampton Saints.

In the same game, Rhys Ruddock sustained a rib injury and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made.

Harry Byrne injured his back in the final stages of the warm-up prior to the Saints game and will be unavailable for selection against Connacht.
