The Leinster Rugby coaching team have issued an injury update ahead of this Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 clash with Munster Rugby at Thomond Park (6pm).

Out-half Ross Byrne, who was replaced in the second half of the Northampton Saints game with a dead leg, is expected to return to full training this week.

Josh van der Flier was removed in the second half against Ulster on Friday evening and he will follow the Graduated Return to Play Protocols under the supervision of team medics.

Second row Ross Molony has recovered from a foot injury and is expected to return to training this week.

Joe Tomane (hamstring) remains unavailable for selection but will look to increase his training load this week.

There are no further updates on Johnny Sexton (knee), Rónan Kelleher (hand), Rory O’Loughlin (shoulder), Vakh Abdaladze (back), Jack Conan (foot), Barry Daly (knee) and Dan Leavy (knee).
