The launch of Tullow RFC’s “Stars In Your Eyes” fundraiser took place in Mount Wolseley Hotel last night…
The launch introduced each of the competitors to the local media with local businesses and the general public welcome to attend. The night kicked off at 8pm with some refreshments for those attending and the acts taking part will be introduced during the evening. Tullow businesses and the Tullow people have always been very supportive of our club and it is hoped they can once again give their full support to our latest fundraiser.
In our second major fundraiser of their season, Tullow RFC has decided to showcase the local talent with a “Stars in Your Eyes” Competition. The brainchild of Club Secretary Gina Haskins who along with James Foley has assembled over 14 acts to perform on the night. The fundraiser follows on from the highly successful “It’s Strictly Dancing” fundraiser held earlier in the season which saw a crowd of over 900 gather in Mount Wolseley for what has been described as “the best nights entertainment ever”.
“Stars in Your Eyes” will be held on Sunday 16th March with the doors opening at 7.00pm. Master of Ceremonies on the night will be local broadcaster and friend of Tullow RFC Brendan Hennessy and it is hoped to have a celebrity judge or two for the competition. Rumours are rife in Tullow that local rugby legend Sean O’Brien is going to showcase his singing talent – that itself would be worth the €;10 entry fee. The event will be followed by a disco till late.
