Suttonians RFC was the venue for a recent Tag Blitz involving local schools Bayside, St Fintan’s NS, Burrow Primary and Howth NS…

The schools have been playing Tag Rugby as there PE for the last eight weeks coached by Suttonians RFC Youth Development Officer, Adam Griggs and it was a fantastic day with over 200 6th class boys and girls taking part.

There were many close games throughout the day which was a credit to all the players with their high standards of play. The Final was a close encounter with St Fintan’s and Bayside fighting it out with the eventual winners being Bayside School who have now won the Tag Shield for the last 2 years in a row.

Special thanks must go to the Suttonians RFC who hosted the event, along with all volunteer referees and helpers who made the day run smoothly. Also a big thank you to all teachers and helpers from all the schools, the children’s behaviour was credit to you all.

The blitz was organised by Leinster rugby’s Youth Development Officer for Suttonians RFC, Adam Griggs and overseen by Community Rugby Officer, Christian Stemmet.
