Leinster Rugby could secure a place in Guinness PRO12 Final Series this weekend, with Munster Rugby, Ospreys Rugby, Scarlets, Ulster Rugby and Glasgow Warriors also in contention for a top four place.

If two or more teams finish with the same number of Championship points, their placings will be determined by the following criteria in descending order:

  • number of matches won
  • the difference between points for and points against
  • the number of tries scored
  • the most points scored
  • the difference between tries for and tries against
  • the fewest number of suspensions
  • the fewest number of yellow cards received
  • toss of a coin

After this weekend’s games there will only be two more rounds left to play, with the final round of fixtures all taking place on Saturday, 6th May, at 5.15pm.

The Guinness PRO12 semi-finals are scheduled to take place on the weekend of the 19th/20th/21st of May, with the Guinness PRO12 Final taking place in AVIVA Stadium on 27th May.
